Our Story
Greenville Gold & Silver started from humble beginnings. Mr. Dan Hilliard started in the business by helping his friends buy and sell precious metals. Eventually, thanks to some friends he made who were willing to teach him and share some business connections, Dan was able to start buying and selling metals for a full-time job. The business started in Dahlonega, GA, the site of the first major US gold rush. In fact, the word Dahlonega comes from a Cherokee word meaning gold. As cute as the small gold-mining town is, the Hilliard family was ready to expand to a larger market, so we moved the business to Greenville, SC, one of the fastest growing cities and counties in the country. Greenville Gold & Silver was established in 2012 on Woodruff Rd, the busiest road in South Carolina.
Now, Dan and his sons, Michael and Gregory, run the business. Being able to trust each other is a huge part of any successful business, but especially a gold and silver business. The Hilliard family has a deep faith in God and a strong sense of morality that we hope helps us to continue earning our customer’s business by treating our customers like our family.
Our Services
We buy, sell, trade, and repair anything gold and silver. We are also happy to test your items, give you a value for them, or repair anything gold or silver.
WE BUY
We buy anything of value. Our specialties include gold, silver, platinum, and diamonds. Most of our inventory either gets melted down or sold wholesale, so we typically base our prices on the wholesale melt value of the metals. We pride ourselves in having the best prices and buying has been our specialty for a long time!
WE SELL
We sell all kinds of beautiful gold and silver items, including gently used gold, silver, and diamond jewelry! Our jewelry is sold at a fraction of the price that most jewelry stores charge. We also sell a lot of investment metals, such as gold and silver bars and coins. All of our prices are extremely competetive.
